A position plan is a general plan that illustrates in the text and in the drawing where exactly individual construction elements are to be placed. The location, dimensions and numbers of elements are taken from the static-strength analysis. In order to visualize and explain the construction calculations, position plans are created in the form of construction drawings.
It contains detailed information about the bearing elements, marking of building materials and dimensions of individual elements. Additionally, the directions of fastening of plate elements and clear marking of individual elements along with their final positions are recorded. If the components are load-bearing, the class of strength of building materials is determined. Appropriate environmental conditions are also taken into account in the position plan. In the case of reinforced concrete structures, the exposure class is determined. In the case of wooden structures, the selected usage class is determined.
In order to make everything clear, the construction engineer uses abbreviations that are listed and explained in the legend.
